The Zaghawa Center for Language and Heritage Continues Its Efforts to Preserve the Language and Cultural Identity

At the Zaghawa Center for Language and Heritage, we continue to implement our educational and cultural programs aimed at preserving the Zaghawa language (BIRI AH) and safeguarding the cultural heritage associated with it. These programs include documenting the language and transitioning it from oral tradition to written form, organizing courses and workshops to teach reading and writing, and promoting cultural heritage through digital and media platforms. These initiatives aim to strengthen cultural identity and support linguistic diversity, while emphasizing the importance of collaboration with educational and cultural institutions and researchers to ensure the continued protection of the Zaghawa language for future generations.
